Demonstrating pilot production using advanced makerspace tools
The Ample project, Advanced Makerspaces for Pilot production by micro-Enterprises, aims to promote the use of advanced makerspace technologies within micro and SME companies across the NPA area.

About AMPLE
The innovation potential of enterprises is enhanced when new prototypes can be efficiently generated and scaled towards pilot production. The objective of the project is to create a more competitive and smarter NPA region by establishing the innovative capacity to more effectively translate concepts from ideation to pilot production. The project will introduce new generations of material additive and subtractive tools for creating digitally-agile pilot production processes for transforming materials into products for specific applications. The project will empower innovators located at hot desks in hubs, incubation center's, and accelerator facilities to develop functional prototypes more efficiently. The project will demonstrate the production of selected prototypes by efficient scaling of makerspace processes. The project will first assemble a range of accessible makerspaces tools for consideration by the NPA entrepreneurial community. It will demonstrate the concepts of pilot production using such tools. The project will then support micro-enterprises in using advanced makerspace tools by organising workshops and other on-line support events. Finally, the project will generate a best practice user guide for using makerspace tools in early-stage production by considering three transnational demonstrators.
