The BATTSi project explores how industrial side streams, such as grain husks and geothermal silica, can be transformed into battery-grade silicon for next-generation lithium-ion batteries. By creating sustainable alternatives to virgin raw materials, BATTSi supports the green transition and strengthens regional innovation in the Northern Periphery and Arctic.

At Centria’s Open Doors, visitors can:

  • Learn how side streams are converted into high-capacity anode materials.

  • Meet project experts and hear how BATTSi connects research, industry, and SMEs across the NPA region.

Join us to see how BATTSi is paving the way for circular, sustainable battery materials.

The event is part of the Interreg Cooperation Day campaign!
