The BATTSi project was presented at Centria’s Open Doors event in October 2025, where visitors had the opportunity to explore Centria’s research activities and ongoing EU projects. The event, part of the Interreg Cooperation Day campaign, brought together regional stakeholders, students, and industry representatives to learn about innovations shaping the future of sustainable technologies.

At the event, Centria’s experts presented the BATTSi project, which focuses on transforming silicon-containing industrial side streams into high-purity materials for battery applications. The project aims to strengthen collaboration between research and industry in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region, driving innovation and supporting the circular economy.

The Open Doors event offered an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the project’s goals and highlight how regional expertise contributes to advancing sustainable battery technologies.
