The INCLUDE project, Clustering inclusive territories driven by digital innovation, has been approved under the Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme.

Led by ERNACT, the 12-month project brings together three project partners and 12 associated organisations from Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Iceland and Greenland to strengthen the capacity of public authorities and communities to shape more sustainable, prosperous and resilient territories.

INCLUDE will build a transnational Community of Practice focused on how digital innovation can support more inclusive territorial development. Drawing on knowledge from three complementary projects, the initiative will promote the use of tools and methods such as gamification, immersive technologies, AI-supported innovation platforms and co-creation approaches to improve participation in local decision-making, particularly among youth and minority groups.

The project has a total budget of €199,873.15, with €129,917.54 in ERDF support. Its main outputs will include a jointly developed Community of Practice action plan and strengthened cross-border cooperation among participating organisations.

By clustering expertise from across the Northern Periphery and Arctic area, INCLUDE will help public authorities and stakeholders exchange good practices, test transferable approaches and develop practical recommendations for involving communities more effectively in shaping the future of their territories.
