About MINDSET

The MINDSET Project (Mission-oriented innovation towards digital and green transitions in the NPA communities) is a three-year, EU-funded initiative under the Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme.

Regional Mission-Oriented Innovation

Led by the European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology (ERNACT) with partners from Ireland, Sweden, and Finland, the project aims to bring Mission-Oriented Innovation (MOI) to the regional and local levels in sparsely populated Northern regions. By introducing Regional Mission-Oriented Innovation (RegMOI) approaches, MINDSET equips policymakers, municipalities, and stakeholders with the tools, capacity, and collaborative frameworks needed to tackle key societal challenges — specifically skills development, climate change, and regional housing and public real estate. Over its 36-month duration, the project will develop a RegMOI toolkit, deliver training, and implement six pilot missions (two per challenge area) to demonstrate impact. The ultimate goal is to embed these innovation methods into long-term regional strategies, ensuring that local voices shape transformative change in alignment with national and EU objectives.
