Munster Technological University

Munster Technological University is a technological higher education institution, located in the South-West region of Ireland. The Halpin Centre for Research and Innovation at MTU undertakes maritime research, with the aim of promoting the development of a vibrant and dynamic maritime sector capable of realising its full potential in contributing to the sustainable economic, social and environmental development of the island of Ireland and that of our international partners, for the benefit of all.

Laurea University of Applied Sciences

Laurea University of Applied Sciences is a higher education institution, located in the Southern Finland, with strong expertise in security and safety. Laurea offers degree programmes in security studies, and Laurea's experts have competence, for example, in maritime SAR practice and management, maritime safety and security, border management, management of firefighting and rescue services, and ethics.

Ambipar Response Ltd

Ambipar Response Ireland is part of the international Ambipar Group, operating at the Emergency Response field. Ambipar has deep knowledge, and a long track record in, hazard identification and risk assessment, emergency response planning, and conducting response operations. This includes working with local communities in oil spill response, wildfire fighting, flooding, hurricane relief and other emergencies.

University of Akureyri (UNAK) is a higher education institution, located in the Northern Iceland. UNAK provides competence and in-depth knowledge of Icelandic and Arctic natural environments. These include designing and working on national and regional initiatives focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, ecosystem-based management, Arctic governance, circumpolar environmental cooperation, and regional development.

The Finnish National Rescue Association (SPEK) is an expert organisation for preparedness, accident prevention, and rescue. SPEK does research and safety communications, provides training opportunities, and participates in social debate and societal discussion.

The Association of Municipalities of Northeast Iceland

The Association of Municipalities of Northeast Iceland (SSNE) promotes and supports lively communities, vibrant cultural scenes and strong economic activity in the area. SSNE has 10 member municipalities and has strong networks in the Northern Iceland. SSNE specialises in the design and implementation of national and regional projects that focus on regional development, culture, climate change mitigation and adaptation, ecosystem-based management, Arctic governance, and environmental cooperation.

Shannon Foynes Port Company

Shannon-Foynes Port Company (SFPC) is the largest port company on the west coast of Ireland, with turnover value of current trade handled by the Port of €8.5 billion per annum. The port has 6 separate terminals, water depths up to 32m, has jurisdiction over 500k2 of water. SFPC is an EU Core Network Port (TEN-T) and a Tier 1 Port in the National Ports Policy, effectively designating the Shannon Estuary as a commercial water course of international significance.

Shannon Estuary Anti-Pollution Team Ltd (SEAPT) is an independent NGO with 14 member organisations, including Shannon-Foynes Port Company, 5 Local Authorities, Ireland's National Oil Reserve Agency, Offshore Industry companies, Oil Importers and other relevant companies. SEAPT aims at a unified coordinated response to pollution incidents on the Shannon Estuary and west coast of Ireland.

Subitis Preparedness Consultants' personnel have over 30 years' experience in emergency response and management through the fire services in Ireland. The personnel are leading experts in Ireland on the subject of organisational and public authority emergency planning and preparedness, and are active at national and international levels via crisis management forums and expert committees.

Wellbeing Services County of Lapland

Wellbeing Services County of Lapland (Lapha) is responsible for organising public health, social and rescue services in Lapland, in the Northern Finland. As a regional authority, the area consisting of 21 municipalities, Lapha has a large network in Lapland. They have strong expertise and practical knowledge of organising health, social, and rescue services.
