As part of the NoBiCC project activity “Nature Houses in Arctic Climate: Greenhouses as Alternative Climate Shells”, we conducted a field trip on May 29–30 to explore five nature houses in Sweden.

The goal was to collect water and soil samples, but we also took the opportunity to interview residents and document key features of these unique homes.
Some highlights from the trip: Atri, Brålanda – South side of the nature house, fitted with 42 solar panels. Uppgränna – Smartly mounted sunscreen for optimal indoor comfort. Rosenlund, Vadstena – Key plants that contribute to both shade and humidity, including grapevines used in all houses.
A huge thank you to the homeowners who welcomed us into their homes from UiT's Ane Solbakken Sæterdal and Peter Danielsen. Your generosity allows us to spread the word about this sustainable way of living.
