Nordic Bridge Hackathon Marathon 2026

We invite you to come up with creative and innovative ideas that can help N-B. Think about questions such as:

1. How can collaboration between stakeholders become more attractive and valuable for all parties?
2. How can society at large better see the potential of working with students and academia at-large?
3. What should N-B should look like to enable collaboration in thesis work, research activities, and beyond

Come with bold, creative, and unconventional ideas. Rethink how collaboration in education and research could benefit!

We are especially interested in ideas that explore:

• User-centric design: How can the solution be intuitive, engaging, and something students, researchers, and external partners would actually want to use?
• Gamification: We highly value concepts that use game mechanics such as quests, progress tracking, rewards, or challenges to make collaboration more engaging.
• AI and smart tools: How can AI help transform vague problems into clear challenges, match users, support collaboration, or reduce administrative work?

This challenge is open to anyone who is creative and digitally curious. Experience with tools like Figma, UI/UX design, web design, or coding is helpful, but not required.
What matters most is:

• A strong idea,
• clear thinking,
• an engaging way of presenting your concept

Your team should create a prototype that communicates your idea clearly. This can be:

• A clickable prototype or wireframe
• A video or animated concept
• A demo, MVP, or simple coded solution
• User stories, sketches, images, or drawings

Focus is on the idea and concept, not a finished product.

Creative Marathon Competition

• Start Date and Time: Friday - 6th Feb - 20:00hrs
• End Date and Time: Sunday - 8th Feb - 20:00hrs
• Venue: Nordlåna Main Hall, Levanger, Norway
• Nord Students can stay 24/7 | Meals will be included

Marathon Introduction Session:
Thursday - 5th Feb – 14:30 to 16:00hrs

Final Pitches and Award Ceremony:
Final Pitches Start: Wednesday - 11th Feb - 14:00hrs
Award Ceremony: Wednesday - 11th Feb - 20:00hrs
