Meeting in December with Our Associate Partner Messi Ltd

The Karelia UAS RemoTED team organized a meeting with our partner Messi Oy in December 2025.

Date
20.01.2026

In this project, we collaborate particularly with Messi Ltd employees who work with young people of aftercare age. A young person’s transition to independence happens gradually after foster care ends, and Messi’s aftercare services consist of supported housing and mentoring services. The aim is, among other things, to make it easier for a child or young person to return home from foster care or to support a young person’s independence. Housing and support services are planned and arranged based on individual aftercare needs.

The goal of the meeting was to catch up and review preliminary results from the Digital Skills and Technological Readiness survey, which was conducted among our partners during autumn 2025. Using the survey results, we discussed their experiences with, for example, developing or using digital skills in client work, and explored various digital solutions that could be useful in their work.

The key themes and development needs of the day included, among others: artificial intelligence in social work, gamification-based methods for client guidance, and various tools and methods for remote guidance when working with young people.

We thank the Messi team for the great discussions and active participation in planning the project activities!
