RemoTED Project Kick-Off and Launch Event
The RemoTED project officially started with a two-day kick-off meeting and a launch event held in Reykjavík, Iceland in May 2025.
Start with collaboration and planning
The RemoTED kick-off meeting focused on project coordination, communication, and shared understanding of the objectives, work packages, and horizontal principles of the Interreg NPA programme – such as sustainability, inclusion and gender equality. Project partners also agreed on internal processes and communication channels. The day concluded with a campus tour at the University of Iceland.
Launch Event with Icelandic perspectives
The following day, a public Launch Event was held in the Edda building at the University of Iceland and live-streamed for remote participants. The event included an introduction to the RemoTED project and its goals, as well as presentations from Icelandic organisations working in the fields of healthcare and technology.

As part of the Launch Event, selected Icelandic organisations shared their solutions and insights in the fields of digital healthcare and technology.

Exploring Iceland beyond the meetings
In addition to the productive meetings and events, the RemoTED team also had the chance to experience more of Iceland. We visited geysers and lagoons, enjoyed the beautiful natural landscapes, and got a glimpse of the lively city life in Reykjavík.
