University of Oulu – Good Indoor Air and Building Health Group
University of Oulu
The University of Oulu (Finland) is the lead partner of RIAQ. The Good Indoor Air and Building Health group contributes expertise in building physics, hygrothermal performance, and indoor air quality, coordinating the project and leading pilot studies on sustainable retrofits.

University of Galway
University of Galway is one of Ireland’s leading research universities, with strong expertise in environmental health, air quality, and sustainable housing. The university contributes to RIAQ through research on indoor air quality, exposure assessment, and stakeholder engagement.

Umeå University
Umeå University (Sweden) contributes expertise in building physics, hygrothermal performance, and sustainable construction solutions, supporting RIAQ through research and evaluation of retrofit strategies.

Verkvist
Verkvist (Iceland) is an engineering consultancy specialising in sustainable building design and construction. In RIAQ, Verkvist supports stakeholder engagement and the practical application of retrofit strategies in the Icelandic context.

Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL)
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is a national expert agency promoting health and well-being in Finland. Within RIAQ, THL contributes expertise on indoor air quality, health impacts, and evidence-based recommendations to support healthier housing environments.

University of Iceland
The University of Iceland (UI) is the country’s leading research university, with strong expertise in environmental sciences and building performance. In RIAQ, UI contributes knowledge on sustainable retrofitting practices and supports collaboration with Icelandic stakeholders.
