About Satu Soini & the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health:

Chief Physician Satu Soini, M.D., has spent several years at the occupational medicine clinic of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. With a strong background as both an occupational health physician and senior occupational health physician, she brings extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and specialist training. Dr. Soini has also played a significant role in educating new occupational health physicians, both in clinical settings and at FIOH.

Her research focuses on work-related diseases, occupational health care, and the development of evidence-based practices. In recent years, she has contributed to national efforts to innovate and improve occupational health services, particularly in how physical and mental health challenges affect working life.

The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health is a multidisciplinary research and expert organisation dedicated to safety, health, and well-being at work. Operating under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health as an independent entity, FIOH combines scientific research with practical solutions to improve workplace health outcomes and guide national policy.
