From 3–5 November 2025, the Tech2Heal consortium will gather in Tromsø, Norway, for its upcoming project meeting, a key opportunity to strengthen collaboration, share insights, and explore new directions in digital health innovation.

Hosted by the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research at Forskningsparken, this meeting brings together partners and experts from across Europe who are working to enhance the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare through technology.

A Focus on Innovation and Collaboration

The meeting will open with a warm welcome from Professor Gro Berntsen, Department Manager for Health Services, followed by a presentation of the Tech2Heal project by Dr. Nick Timmons from Atlantic Technological University, Ireland.

Across two days of sessions and discussions, participants will explore key topics such as governance and regulation in digital health, the use of video consultations in mental health care, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in clinical data.

Beyond project updates, the Tromsø meeting aims to strengthen the bonds between research, innovation, and implementation, ensuring that the outcomes of Tech2Heal translate into meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.

Showcasing the Northern Innovation Ecosystem

A highlight of the gathering will be introductions to local innovation actors from Northern Norway, including Nattugla, ABEL Technologies, and the FOSS Skills and Simulation Centre at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. These sessions will showcase how regional expertise and creativity contribute to advancing digital health on both local and global scales.

The event setting, in the heart of the Arctic city of Tromsø, offers a fitting backdrop for discussions about innovation, resilience, and connection. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the region’s culture and natural beauty, including an informal gathering at Skarven Vertshus and dinner at Fangst, two renowned local venues.

Building the Future of Digital Health

As the Tech2Heal partners meet under the northern lights, the focus remains clear: creating sustainable, patient-centred digital health solutions that respond to the needs of healthcare professionals and communities alike.

The Tromsø meeting marks another step forward in the consortium’s shared mission, to harness technology for better health and wellbeing across Europe.
