Our co-communications managers from UCC, Peter Luddy and Niamh Hurley, travelled to Klaksvík on the Faroe Islands to attend the Lead Partners and Communications Managers Seminar for all projects in 4th, 5th and 6th Interreg NPA calls. The seminar was a great success, providing an opportunity for all projects from across the Northern Periphery and Arctic region to share experiences and strengthen connections.

Discussions on impact and legacy initiated the seminar, followed by what this means for each project. This set the tone for the day full of reflections and discussions from projects with differing stages of completion. For Bauhaus Goes North, it brought forward conversations about how we will navigate the reminder of our project and where we can use our learnings in to develop future opportunities.

After lunch and some socialising, the secretariat divided the seminar into lead partners and communication managers. The communications workshop covered topics around the projects takers and identifying the different persona who will engage with the projects during its lifetime. This discussion further enhanced the understanding and relevancy of communication within all stages of the project.

We finished up the seminar with a joining together of both groups for a concluding discussion.

Our evening ended with a visit to a local farm where we were brought to the house of a local Faroese family before sitting down in the community hall for a family style meal. The community generously made the dinner for us using local produce and the evening was further enhanced by the rugged weather.
