Policy Briefs

FORESTCARBOVISION Policy Briefs provide concise, research-based recommendations to support the development of forest carbon farming.

Forest carbon farming is moving from policy to practice. Before it is scaled up widely, pilots and Living Labs should test and refine credible monitoring, reporting and verification systems, country-specific approaches, co-benefit delivery and fair risk-sharing. Success should be measured not only by carbon credits issued, but also by transparency, practical feasibility, fairness to landowners and communities, buyer confidence, and integration into sustainable forest management.
