Labels of origin tell the real story behind a product — its place, its people, and the traditions that shape it. They’re more than symbols on packaging; they are trust marks that help customers recognise authenticity, sustainability and local identity. In other words, they turn geography into a brand of integrity.

But what do labels of origin mean for handicraft producers? How can they protect local skills, support small-scale production and help secure premium prices?

Now you have the chance to learn how local, national and EU-level labels of origin work, what benefits they offer, and what they require from producers. You will also hear real case examples from Finland, Ireland and Iceland — showing how labels of origin can support small and micro companies in practice. The workshop also presents the GIFT -project, which offers concrete support for small producer groups in the region.

Welcome to an informal, inspiring workshop!
