On 30th September 2026, partners and regional stakeholders of the INCLUDE cluster project met at CoLab in Letterkenny for the project's second thematic seminar and workshop. Hosted alongside the MINDSET project meeting, the event brought together digital innovation experts, local authorities, and community leaders to explore how digital tools, inclusive approaches, and active community engagement can strengthen local capacity and public participation across regions.

Showcasing Digital Solutions for Community Empowerment

The morning session centred on a thematic seminar and webinar highlighting practical digital initiatives designed to foster civic participation and regional innovation.

Four key initiatives were presented and discussed:

  • IndieDev Programme (Inno GS): Demonstrating approaches to support local enterprise and digital developer ecosystems.

  • DigidelCenter – Public Library: Illustrating how public libraries can act as hubs for digital innovation in urban planning and digital literacy.

  • Innovera Digital Innovation Platform (MINDSET): Presenting a collaborative platform tailored for regional innovation networks and knowledge sharing.

  • Voting Platform for Civic Engagement (MINDSET/CIVITEC): Showcasing digital voting mechanisms to enhance local decision-making and community participation.

Scenario Review and Strategic Directions

Following the presentations, partners engaged in an interactive session dedicated to reviewing the regional scenarios identified by the project participants. This workshop enabled partners to compare local challenges, evaluate pilot interventions, and refine strategies for adapting digital inclusion tools across different territories in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region.

The workshop served as an important milestone for the INCLUDE cluster project, reinforcing transnational collaboration and laying the groundwork for testing inclusive digital tools in local communities.
