The INCLUDE project funded by the INTERREG Northern Periphery and Artic programme hosted the webinar “Unlocking Community Potential with the INCLUDE Project” on 10 June 2026, bringing together partners and stakeholders to explore how digital tools, inclusive approaches and community engagement can strengthen local capacity and participation.

The session showcased three good practices from Finland, Sweden and Ireland. Kalle Sievänen from Savonia University of Applied Sciences presented eNuokkari, a digital youth centre hosted on Discord that provides young people in rural Eastern Finland with a safe and accessible space to connect with youth workers and peers.

Patrik Pettersson from Härnösand Municipality presented “Härnösand is Growing”, an initiative using public library displays, 3D visualisations and maps to make urban planning more transparent and participatory.

Daragh McDonough from Donegal County Council shared a GIS crowdsourcing practice that enables residents to contribute place names, stories and landscape knowledge through a web-based mapping platform, helping to safeguard local heritage.

The webinar highlighted how co-creation, accessible digital tools and inclusive participation can support stronger community engagement and create lasting public value across the Northern Periphery and Arctic area.
