In October, INNOCAP project partners met in Donegal (Ireland) for the fifth partnership meeting hosted by lead partner ERNACT. This meeting was a great opportunity to catch up on the progress of our partners' pilot services.

The occasion served, among others, to see the progress made by our partners from Västernorrland (Sweden). Osman Saidabdala from Kommunförbundet Västernorrland and Mikael Bergström from the Municipality of Örnsköldsvik presented the service and led a practical session where the INNOCAP partners could test it.

Their pilot project focuses on building a digital platform that will help municipal employees of Örnsköldsvik create, share, and improve ideas to solve challenges at work. These ideas aim to make work more efficient, tackle social issues, and improve the quality of services offered to the general public.

What’s exciting about this platform is the way it uses advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support employees at every step—from brainstorming and designing solutions to managing projects and delivering services. The platform also includes support from innovation coaches, who are trained in creative problem-solving, and digital coaches, who bring expertise in tools like Virtual Reality (VR) and AI-powered chatbots.

This project will create a space where employees can work together on new ideas, making municipal services better for everyone.
