INNOCAP project meeting in Donegal

The fifth INNOCAP project physical meeting takes place in Donegal (Ireland), on the 8 and 9 October 2024. This meeting, hosted by lead partner ERNACT, will serve to continue with the development of the Capacity Building Programme.

The fifth INNOCAP project physical meeting takes place in Donegal (Ireland), hosted by lead partner ERNACT, on the 8 and 9 October 2024. 
Day 1 will be dedicated to the partnership meeting to review project’s progress and agree on next steps. Special focus will be put around the status of development of the 4 pilot services in the INNOCAP project:
  1. Building a digital innovation platform using participatory web portals (Västernorrland, Sweden)
  2. Waste data hub making use of IoT and data dashboards (South Iceland)
  3. Social innovation led service for decision-making on digital and green transition using visualisation GIS tools (South Savo, Finland)
  4. Climate change action monitoring using IoT for flood prevention (Donegal, Ireland)
The meeting takes place in theii, an innovation hub driving innovation in the Inishowen area. A guided tour is planned where partners will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Inishowen innovation ecosystem and see the different supports they receive. 

On day 2, partners will have the opportunity to attend the Smart regions through the use of IoT technologies workshop, organised by Data2Sustain EDIH. This is a good opportunity for partners to know more about the potential applications of a disruptive technology targeted by the project as it is IoT.
