MOOC Courses Now Available to Access

The MINDSET project has developed two Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to support regional stakeholders in applying Regional Mission-Oriented Innovation (RegMOI) approaches to real societal challenges.

Date

Building on the tools, methods and experiences generated through the project, the MOOCs transform MINDSET’s knowledge into accessible learning resources. They will help stakeholders continue using RegMOI beyond the lifetime of the project, supporting action on key challenges such as skills development, climate action, housing and public real estate.

Led by Umeå University and delivered through Digital Impact North EDIH, the courses provide practical guidance on understanding mission-oriented innovation and working with complex systems in regional contexts.

The two courses are:

1. Fundamentals of Mission-Oriented Innovation
This course introduces the core principles of Mission-Oriented Innovation and supports participants in understanding how mission-based approaches can be used to address complex regional challenges.

2. Mastering Complex Systems for Mission-Oriented Innovation
This course focuses on the systems thinking needed to design, implement and manage mission-oriented innovation processes in practice.

The launch of these MOOCs marks an important step in ensuring that MINDSET’s outputs remain accessible, useful and transferable for regional stakeholders across the Northern Periphery and Arctic area and beyond.

Explore and access the courses through the Outputs and Results section of the MINDSET website.
