The NACEMAP Project will host its Community Emergency Management Workshop at the University of Limerick on 27 August 2026.

The workshop forms part of the preparation for the NACEMAP pilot exercises that will take place in Limerick in October 2026. Bringing together key stakeholders from across the emergency management and community sectors, the event will provide an opportunity to contribute to the development of Version 2 of the NACEMAP Community Emergency Management Toolkit.

Building on the outcomes of the first stakeholder forum, participants will help refine the toolkit to support effective coordination and community resilience during emergency incidents. The updated toolkit will be tested and evaluated during the October pilot exercises, which will focus on two emergency scenarios:

  • Response to an oil spill incident

  • Response to a flooding event

The workshop will ensure that the toolkit reflects operational requirements, local knowledge, and community needs.

Stakeholders from the first responder community, local government, voluntary and community organisations, and community groups are invited to register and participate in this important codesign process.
