Nord University recently welcomed project partners from the University of Lapland to Bodø ahead of the next phase of the project: testing the Nordic Bridge platform. The visit was an opportunity to align on upcoming activities, review the materials needed for the testing phase and explore how the platform can connect organisations facing real-world challenges with relevant academic expertise. Discussions with local stakeholders, including in the forestry sector, helped the partners understand how Nordic Bridge can support collaboration between universities and regional actors.

A preliminary test of the prototype gave first feedback on usability and value. It pointed to areas for further development in communication, trust building and platform sustainability, which the testing phase will explore in greater depth.

Key takeaway

Every collaboration starts with a simple question: who can help? Nordic Bridge is being built to make that question easier to answer. As we move into testing, we are shaping the platform around the needs of the people who will use it, so that anyone with a challenge can find the right partner, wherever they are across the Northern Periphery and Arctic.
