🌍 From rural Canada to international collaboration in rural health

Growing up in rural Ontario, Canada, Keely Matsusaki experienced first-hand some of the challenges rural communities face in accessing healthcare.

As a final-year medical student at the University of Limerick, her interest in rural medicine led her to the NPA SelfCare project as an Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) project partner in the NPA SelfCare project.

Through IVY, Keely has contributed to research, community co-creation and international collaboration, while bringing a young person’s perspective to the project.

🎥 In this video, Keely shares her experience as an IVY volunteer, what she has learned along the way and how she hopes to take those experiences with her into her future career as a physician.
