Satu Mänttäri, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor, is Chief Researcher at the regional office of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH) in Oulu, Finland. She has expertise in occupational physiology, more specifically muscle and thermal physiology.

Her research interests focus on evaluating functional ability, strain, and recovery at work, with special emphasis on neuromuscular and cardiovascular functioning in different thermal environments.
