Tech2Heal Partners to Meet in Oulu for Consortium Meeting

The Tech2Heal project will bring partners together in Oulu, Finland, from 12–14 October 2026 for its latest Consortium Meeting, hosted by project partner the University of Oulu.

The three-day meeting will provide an opportunity for partners from across the Northern Periphery and Arctic region to share progress, exchange knowledge and continue working together on the development of digital approaches to support health and wellbeing.

The programme begins on Monday, 12 October, with partners travelling to Oulu and an informal evening gathering. The main programme gets underway on Tuesday with presentations from the hosting organisations, followed by a lab tour at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s Oulu office.

Partners will then come together for the Tech2Heal Steering Group Meeting, providing an opportunity to review project activities, discuss progress and plan the next stages of the project. The day will conclude with a consortium dinner in Oulu.

Exploring the Future of Digital Occupational Health

A key element of the meeting will be the Tech2Heal Seminar on Wednesday, 14 October, focusing on worker health, occupational health services and digital innovation across the Northern Periphery and Arctic region.

During the seminar, project partners will present findings from interviews conducted with their respective target groups. Presentations will explore the objectives of the interviews, the groups consulted, the questions asked, key findings and the conclusions emerging from this work.

The seminar will open with Professor Miia Jansson of the University of Oulu, who will provide an overview of the Tech2Heal project, the rationale behind the target-group interviews and the health and wellbeing of the working-age population. Partners from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Ireland will then share their findings.

Dr Nick Timmons of Atlantic Technological University, Lead Partner of Tech2Heal, will deliver the closing remarks.

The Oulu meeting will provide another important opportunity for the Tech2Heal partnership to strengthen cross-border collaboration and share knowledge as the project continues its work to explore how digital technologies can contribute to occupational health and support working-age populations across the Northern Periphery and Arctic region.
