Phase 2 of Reimagined Resources begins!

With the first phase of Reimagined Resources programme finished, we're now entering the Phase 2 with six designers!

Date
10.09.2026

Through an open call launched earlier in the year, three designers or craftspeople from each partner country — Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Ireland — were selected to participate in the international programme. The open call welcomed professionals from a wide range of creative disciplines, including fashion, textiles, product design, architecture, digital technology and related fields, all united by a shared interest in extending the life and value of textile products, reducing waste and addressing the challenges of overproduction.

Re-Imagine Resources is delivered by a consortium of eight international partners: Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) and Kittilä Municipality in Finland, Remiks in Norway, the Western Development Commission, Technological University of the Shannon, and Forge Design Factory in Ireland, the University of Borås in Sweden, and the Icelandic Textile Centre in Iceland.

During the first Phase of the Reimagined Resources the designers worked solo taking part in Masterclasses and mentoring sessions, visiting recycling centers and creating their design for “The Final Product”, a design solution aiming at functionality, quality, ecology and creativity. Each designer's Final Product was showcased during the Program's Final Presentation Day, and you will find the links to the presentation in the PowerPoint highlights below!

Now it's time for the Phase 2: Collaborative Co-Design!

For Phase 2, a team of experts chose six designers from the batch of absolutely talented, brilliant artists. The finalists work in international teams to co-design a circular solution using end-of-life textiles, and deliver a local workshop focused on textile repair, reuse or other circularity themes.

The chosen Designers for Phase 2 are:
Sara-Lovise Ask Ewertson (NO)
Amanda Vesthardt (NO)
Matchima Chutijirawong (FI)
Stitch N Stones (SE)
Textíl Barinn (IS)
Maureen McAndrew (IE)

The Reimagined Resources programme will culminate in Borås, Sweden, where the Reimagined Resources Designers gather to showcase their Reimagined Products in a two-day exhibition 4-5 November!
