A webinar organised as part of the Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme (NPA) THREADs project explored how textile waste can be used as a valuable resource for design, reuse and circular textile systems in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region.

The webinar introduced a Resource Categorisation Value Chart, developed within the THREADs project. The tool helps identify how textiles can be directed towards reuse, redesign, repair or other circular pathways, enabling better collaboration between sorting systems and creative reuse practices.

We also heard from designer, lecturer and researcher Anna Lidström, who shared insights from her practice designing garments using post-consumer textiles as a material resource.
