Interreg NPA 6th Call for Project Applications now open

The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme has launched its 6th Call for Project Applications.

The 6th Call for Project Applications officially opens on 1 October 2025 and will close on 2 February 2026 at 12:00 (noon CET). Decision on approved projects will be taken by the Monitoring Committe at its meeting on 3 June 2026.

This call welcomes proposals under the following priorities:

  • Priority 1: Strengthening innovation capacity for resilient and attractive NPA

  • Priority 2: Strengthening capacity for climate change adaptation and resource sufficiency in NPA communities

  • Priority 3: Strengthening organisational capacity among NPA communities to make use of cooperation opportunities

Projects are encouraged to address key themes such as:

  • Climate change adaptation and risk management

  • Nature and biodiversity protection

  • Energy transition, renewable energy, and efficiency solutions suitable for cold climates and remote communities

How to apply

To apply, applicants should carefully read the Terms of Reference and submit their proposals via the JEMS platform. Guidance materials and support information are available on the Interreg NPA website.

Events for applicants

To support project development, several events are planned:

  • 11 November 2025 – Webinar: How to complete a JEMS application (13:00–15:00 CET)

  • 14 January 2026 – Online Q&A session for applicants (13:00–15:00 CET)

Applicants may also book individual online clinics or in-person meetings with an NPA Desk Officer between October and February.
