Interreg NPA receives 33 applications in 6th Call

The Interreg NPA 6th Call closed with a record 33 applications competing for EUR 10 million in funding. Assessment is now underway. Final project selection will be carried out by the Monitoring Committee at its meeting in the Faroe Islands on 3 June 2026.

The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme would like to thank all applicants for their strong engagement and commitment to cooperation across the programme area.

By the deadline of the 6th Call, the Programme received 33 project proposals, competing for approximately EUR 10 million in available funding. This represents a record level of interest for the Programme and shows the continued relevance of transnational cooperation in the Northern Periphery and Arctic regions.

Next steps

All submitted applications will now be assessed in accordance with the Programme’s selection criteria, as set out in the Programme Manual. 

Final project selection will be carried out by the Monitoring Committee at its meeting in the Faroe Islands on 3 June 2026. All applicants will be informed of the outcome shortly after the meeting.
