BOCOD

Boosting Continuity and Digitalisation of Rural Region Businesses

What we do

Across rural parts of Ireland, Iceland, and Finland, many small businesses face serious challenges. These areas are often far from major cities, have ageing populations, and struggle with passing businesses on from one generation to the next. These factors can make it hard for local economies to grow and survive. Rural areas are also changing. People are working differently, often from home, and new technology like artificial intelligence is shaping the way we live and work. BOCOD aims to help businesses keep up with these changes and make the most of new opportunities. To address these issues BOCOD's partnership will work to improve digital skills and offer the right kind of support to help businesses become more competitive and plan for the future.
