15 new projects approved under the 6th Call

The approved projects from the Interreg NPA 6th call for proposals are now published online. At its meeting on 3 June 2026 in Nólsoy, Faroe Islands, the Monitoring Committee approved 15 projects, allocating all remaining funding available for Main Projects. The call attracted a record 33 applications, demonstrating the strong demand for transnational cooperation across the Northern Periphery and Arctic area.

The newly approved projects cover all three programme priorities and address challenges ranging from digital healthcare and biodiversity protection to community resilience and organisational capacity building.

Examples include:

CONNECT (Priority 1 – Innovation Capacity), which will help accelerate the adoption of digital healthcare technologies in remote and sparsely populated regions.

BIOGUARD (Priority 2 – Climate Change and Resource Sufficiency), which will develop practical tools to help communities and land managers strengthen biodiversity and adapt forests to climate change.

DC NEST (Priority 3 – Cooperation Opportunities), which will strengthen the capacity of municipalities to attract and manage sustainable data centre investments in northern regions.

We congratulate all approved projects and look forward to following their progress as they begin delivering benefits for communities across the programme area.
